More than half of the ingredients formulated in the oils of this Eau De Parfum are composed of the highest odor active pineapple ingredients, natural citruses, aldehydes and liquid creamy ambrols (the key of ambergris), including both top note and base musks.
Pineapple Vintage Intense success story is made possible due to a proprietary pineapple ingredient that became available in pure form. The procurement of this pure ingredient allows the perfumer to formulate a superior composition. The Founder and Perfumer of Parfums Vintage, Damien Stammers explains, "the stronger ingredient allowed me to assign less of the precious formulation space to just one molecule, replaced with even more natural content to obtain the perfect pineapple note. I selected pineapple ingredients which had a particular ethereal quality that are highly odor active and I formulated them to achieve layer upon layer of juicy pineapple accords".

Parfums Vintage entered the fragrance industry in 2016 as a result of the founder and perfumer being disillusioned with the often unnecessary reformulations. Classic designer fragrances that are reformulated due to ingredients rising in price with the desirable notes being reduced and diluted. Ingredient restrictions that are all too often political decisions proliferate IFRA.
Damien explains how he is in a unique position. "We had the will from day one to offer a high quality alternative. In the perfume industry this is far from assumed, It is not given.
Most of the world's perfumers simply don't have free will, bound by budget limitations on ingredients. Invariably the perfumer has to formulate and produce a parfum with the brief, budget and the time required to produce the parfum being set by clients and accountants who have one eye on the quarterlies.
Indeed, the perfumer may even have formulated the perfect composition that utilised carefully selected ingredients which exhibit more desirable notes that never actually see the light of day, but for limitations and then being ushered onto the next fragrance brief.
In 2022 alone, we made almost five thousand trials on new product formulations as a result of heavily investing in new proprietary captive molecules. We expanded our palette of natural ingredients and procurement extends to the industry specialists Payan Bertrand, IFF's LMR, Robertet, Bontoux, Veille and independent artisan producers. At heart we are fragrance lovers. We exist to offer the very best quality.
The result is a fine fragrance which has dozens of the highest grade ingredients at optimal ratios with layer upon layer of desirable rich notes. Many of our customers came to know us only after a passerby wearing our fragrance made such an impression to strike up an interaction of the curious".
