Introducing The One Extreme Extrait, the highly anticipated successor to Intense The One, a fragrance launched in 2020 and with presupposition from some quarters leading to one of our most celebrated creations, known for its versatility and ability to elicit compliments all year round. There has been speculation within the online fragrance community in recent years that Intense The One is an Extrait version of Pineapple Vintage Intense, largely due to its remarkable performance. However, it is important to clarify that it is, in fact, an Eau de Parfum (EDP) concentration. Our EDP compositions routinely outshine other fragrance houses' Extrait offerings because we commit to sourcing superior ingredients that traditional clone companies often cannot access, primarily due to their low-cost business models. Many of the finest ingredients in the industry come with significant barriers to entry. 

What can customers expect from this fifth-year homage to Intense The One? To provide some insight, our perfumer and Founder Damien Stammers reflects on how The One Extreme Extrait came to be and why now."The success of the 2017 release, Pineapple Vintage Intense, was made possible by the release of a particularly strong pineapple molecule in pure form, previously available at only a 10% concentration by the producer. The utilisation of the new pure molecule allowed for a trifecta of benefits. An enhanced pineapple-rich accord was achieved whilst dedicating less precious formulation space to one molecule. The molecules' previous diluted element was replaced with considerable exalting compounds, performance boosting molecules and musks, and an abundance of refined natural citrus oils to the degree that beautiful ethereal pineapple notes were persistent into the base and this resulted in Pineapple Vintage Intense, a highly popular fragrance frequently praised as the benchmark of a highly enriched high performing pineapple fragrance. 
As a result of the success of Pineapple Vintage Intense, we inherently knew that improving individual ingredients, and multiplied across several formula lines, had a compounded effect of producing richer and deeper compositions offering a impressive delta from one fragrance to another. 

The 2020 release Intense The One is testament to this multiplying and optimising principle. Despite early skepticism that it was merely a cash grab, perhaps because some considered Pineapple Vintage Intense to already be the pinnacle, time aging of the blend revealed layers of exquisite tropical naturals combined with beautiful musks that contributed to elicit compliments from curious passers by to the degree that it is a beloved fragrance which many assure will always be their signature scent. 

In 2021, as the world pivoted towards caution and safeguarding resources, we seized a rare opportunity to source captive molecules, elements typically hard to procure but can be key for achieving a competitive edge in the fragrance industry. The barriers of patent protection licences, high costs and minimum order quantities rendered them challenging for legacy perfume houses and unobtainable for clone brands. With a degree of luck followed by sheer persistence, we seized a rare opportunity to procure some very special captive molecules. We invested significantly and set out to revisit our customers favourite formulations with these exclusive ingredients. We never reformulate a fragrance under any circumstances so utilising the special ingredients would lead to hundreds of manual trials introducing the captives and evaluating their special properties for newly launched fragrances.  Now, as we commemorate our ninth year with our loyal customers, for The One Extreme Extrait, we selected naturals from the finest producers, including Payan Bertrand, Albert Vieille (Givaudan), IFF-LMR (Laboratoire Monique Rene) and niche independent organic suppliers known for their exceptional citrus oils from Italy’s Reggio region. The culmination of these efforts is a true Extrait composition that represents our expertise and is  showcased in The One Extreme Extrait.
